VIDEOSAFARI WINTERTHUR 2006

   The International Short Film Festival Winterthur is inviting you to take part in the nightly safari through the jungle of Winterthur’s city stories.

 

The Videosafari abducts the audience to take part in a cinematic expedition across the city. In a minibus that has been refunctioned to act as a mobile cinema, eight filmmakers from at home and abroad will present their view of life and people in Winterthur.
During the journey, live images from an outside camera will be projected onto the screen.


The video safari will be touring Winterthur after dusk from 3 to 30 November and will be showing short films by: Andrea Bürgi, Tolga Dilsiz, Ivan Engler, Martina Fischbacher & Ulrich Schaffner, Tom Gerber, Nico Gutmann, Zvonimir Pisonic and Jan Schomburg

One safari lasts between 30 and 40 minutes (depending on the traffic). It will start and end in front of the Casino Theatre in Winterthur. The trips should be booked online and should be paid to the driver before taking off. The precise dates and times of the safaris as well as the remaining seats can be seen in the online reservation system on www.videosafari.ch.

The number of seats is limited to five for each journey. Please book well in advance!


   Price: 16 CHF / 13 CHF for holders of a ZKB account. Festival passes are not valid for the video safari.

The Videosafari is a concept of Roman Weber. The adaptation of the concept for Winterthur came about through close collaboration with the International Short Film Festival Winterthur.
